As we watch our friends in Southwest Florida and other parts of the state begin recovery from Hurricane Ian, we know each of us who experienced Hurricane Michael have great sympathy for those affected.
On Thursday (Oct. 6), the Chamber is teaming up with iHeart Media and the Bay County Sheriff’s Department to collect supplies to ship to Southwest Florida.
Through Wednesday, several drop-off site will help collect goods to deliver to the Lynn Haven Walmart.

Tarps, zip ties, bleach, buckets, household cleaner, laundry detergent, dish soap, scouring pads, sponges, towels, trash bags (all sizes), mops, brooms, paper towels.
Personal items-
Face masks, hand sanitizer, gloves, soap, wash cloths and towels, toilet paper, toothbrush, toothpaste, aspirin, bandages/first aid kit, wipes, diapers.
Food items- (non perishable)
Baby formula, canned food, manual can opener, crackers, cereal, nuts, granola bars, dried fruit, bottled water, sports drinks, ice chests, paper napkins and plates, plastic cutlery, pet food.

The Florida Disaster Fund is the State of Florida’s official private fund established to assist Florida’s communities as they respond to and recover during times of emergency or disaster. Volunteer Florida’s donation page is open for donations at www.volunteerflorida.org.
United Way NWF has also set up a hurricane impact fund for those who wish to donate monetarily. That information can be found HERE.
