Dr. Neal Dunn, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida's 2nd district, recently issued a series of warnings and updates on Twitter regarding severe winter weather conditions affecting his constituency. His messages were aimed at ensuring the safety of residents during this period of adverse weather.

On January 21, 2025, Dr. Dunn alerted communities in the Panhandle about an impending winter storm. He stated: "ATTENTION PANHANDLE COMMUNITIES: THIS IS NOT A DRILL! Winter weather is coming and many communities should expect historic amounts of snow and/or wintry mix. Take all necessary precautions and try to stay off the roads."

Later that day, he posted another tweet from Washington D.C., emphasizing the severity of the storm hitting his district: "While I’m in DC, our district is getting a historic winter storm! Please stay off the roads and listen to local officials." He also encouraged constituents to share their experiences by posting pictures in the comments.

The following day, on January 22, 2025, Dr. Dunn updated residents about road conditions resulting from unprecedented snowfall: "Many of the county roads and bridges in our district remain extremely unsafe for travel due to the historic, unprecedented snowfall last night." He advised staying off roads to allow emergency services access.
