4.5% of citizens unemployed in Bay County in 2021

Bay County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.5% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 4,031 people out of the 181,384 living in Bay County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Bay County has increased compared to the 4.2% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Bay County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 86,284 people who had a job during that time, 3,238 were employed in the Armed Forces and 83,046 belonged to the civilian labor force.
