84.4% of Franklin County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 12,232 citizens living in Franklin County in 2021, 84.4% were old enough to vote, equating to 10,323 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 5,866 were male, constituting 56.8%, and 4,457 were female, making up 43.2%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Franklin County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 80%.
