Gulf Franklin Campus Offering Transition Program | Gulf Coast State College
Port St. Joe, FL –Gulf Coast State College is offering a transition program for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to advance to the next level in their healthcare careers—becoming a Registered Nurse (RN).
Students must first take “LPN-ADN Transitions”, a course that prepares them to transition into the ADN portion of the program. The next class is scheduled for the fall 2023 semester.
This two-semester program is for the LPN desiring to take their career to the next level by becoming a professional RN through obtaining an Associate of Science degree in Nursing. Upon graduation, students receive an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing and are eligible to take the national licensing exam (NCLEX-RN).
Gulf Coast’s Gulf Franklin Campus has seen great success for students in this program. In fact, 97.8% of LPN completers went on to obtain an RN license, and 92.86% of the students in the LPN program passed NCLEX-PN on the first attempt from January 2020-May 2022.
