Senior Adults Can Receive Affordable Educational and Enrichment Courses at Gulf Coast State College

Registration for the Education Encore fall program opened this week.

Education Encore is a non-credit enrichment program offered to active senior adults. The learning environment is fun and stress-free while offering diversity, insight, and wisdom. Of the program, one of our participants commented, “I participated in my first Encore program 17 years ago and still eagerly anticipate what the next session will offer!”

Participants of Education Encore can choose from a variety of personal enrichment and development courses, including some of Encore’s tried-and-true favorites such as Ukulele for Beginners or Current Foreign Policy Topics, as well as some newly-added classes such as Exploring the Underwater Wrecks of Bay County and Poems to Ponder – there is something for everyone!

“I am excited to continue to expand the diverse selection of courses even further,” said Lara Herter, Education Encore Program Coordinator. “With each class costing less than $6, this is truly one of the best educational bargains in Bay County.”

Education Encore is offered by Gulf Coast State College’s Continuing Education department twice a year during the Fall and Spring semester. The courses are held for six consecutive Fridays, September 23 – October 28. The fee for the program is $125.  Space is limited for in-person course offerings.
