Gulf Coast State College is pleased to announce Kristal Smallwood as the new Director of the GCSC Gulf Franklin Campus.
Smallwood was raised in Panama City and attended GCSC before transferring to FSU to complete her bachelor’s degree. She has been in education for the past 18 years, 15 of those years at Port St. Joe High School.
“I am looking forward to using my experience from both working and living in the Gulf County community to better serve the College and the surrounding communities in Gulf and Franklin counties,” said Smallwood. “I am passionate about helping the people that live here—my home—and I am invested in growing the educational opportunities available here.”
The GCSC Gulf Franklin Campus is located in Port St. Joe and offers credit, continuing education, and personal enrichment programs, specializing in the areas of nursing and health sciences and drone piloting.
