Bay County Chamber of Commerce: February is Heart Month – Show Those You Love You Care by Getting CPR Certified

7

Bay County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on February 3.

According to the CDC, heart disease continues to be the leading cause of death in the U.S. for men and women. With February being Heart Month, this is a great reminder to focus on your heart health, as well as helping others be well.

Gulf Coast State College offers a CPR certification course to teach individuals how to respond to a medical emergency until EMS arrives. We are an American Heart Association training center, and all of our instructors are professionals with real-world experience from public safety and healthcare backgrounds.

We invite you to select from one of our scheduled classes, or ask how we can coordinate training exclusively for you! To increase awareness and CPR training during February, we are offering a deal for groups over eight. If you schedule a training for eight people, the ninth

person is free!

For more information, please visit gulfcoast.edu/CPR or email Sherrie Lock at slock@gulfcoast.edu or (850) 872-3819
