Bay County Chamber of Commerce: The Florida SBDC at UWF Promotes Terry Mauer to Assistant Director

Bay County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on September 17.

PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL.- September 3, 2021 – The Florida SBDC at UWF announces the promotion of Terry Mauer to Assistant Director, managing the Panama City Beach outreach location office. In his role, Mauer will spearhead the SBDC’s efforts to break down barriers to entry in order to drive growth for the small business communities located throughout 7 counties in Northwest Florida.

“With over 20 years of experience in hospitality and management, a strong background in consulting and a vibrant personality, Terry is sure to serve as an invaluable addition and strong leader to our Panama City Beach team,” shares SBDC at UWF Regional Director, Kelly Massey. “We are excited to have Terry in this new position and we look forward to continuing to work hard as do we our part in the effort to keep the Northwest Florida community the award-winning destination that so many have grown to love and cherish.”

Mauer initially joined the SBDC at UWF in 2020 as a Business Consultant, after devoting much of his time over the past 10 years, assisting independent restaurateurs to develop, launch, and expand new and existing lodging, food, beverage and entertainment concepts, throughout the region. During this period, Mauer also held leadership positions in both corporate and independent hospitality organizations, most recently serving as the Director of Food & Beverage at Premier Island Management Group in Pensacola, Florida.
