City of Panama City Beach issued the following announcement on September 7.

Keep PCB Beautiful along with Gulf World Marine Institute, Gulf World, and Scout Pack 317, is hosting the International Coastal Cleanup on Saturday, September 18 from 8 to 10 a.m. at various sites along Front Beach Road.

Anyone can join the cleanup at one of three sites:

  • Keep PCB Beautiful will be at M.B. Miller County Pier, 12213 Front Beach Road;
  • Gulf World Marine Institute and Gulf World will be at the Russell-Fields City Pier, 16101 Front Beach Road;
  • Scout Pack 317 will be at Beach Access 51 behind Runaway Island, 14521 Front Beach Road.
Trash will be weighed and disposed of at each location. Free T-shirts are available while supplies last and volunteers can meet at M.B. Miller County Pier after the cleanup for a “brunch” with Rudy’s Barbecue including breakfast tacos, fruit, cookies, and water/juice. Thank you to sponsors, Rudy’s Real Texas Barbecue, Surfing’s Evolution & Preservation Foundation, and Nate’s Sanitation.

Keep PCB Beautiful is a local affiliate of Keep America Beautiful. The group’s vision is to make Panama City Beach a clean and beautiful place in which to live, work, and visit and to support environmental and conservation initiatives. Keep PCB Beautiful is working to clean up and green up from the streets to the beach. Hoping to inspire individuals and businesses to improve the community and natural environment.
