Of the 2,514 people living in Apalachicola in 2019, 51.8 percent (1,302) were women and 48.2 percent (1,212) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Panama City Reporter.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 763-to-747. In the 65 and over age range, there were 350 females and 203 males.
