Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Gulf Coast State College

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Gulf Coast State College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Florida residents paid $2,370 to attend the four-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-residents paid 264.3 percent more than residents this year, or $8,633. Their price tag was unchanged from $8,633 in 2017-18.

About 97 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Florida residents. And about 3 percent are residents of other states.

Data shows 73 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 437 students received grants or scholarships totaling $2.3 million and 47 students took out student loans totaling more than $198,591.

Including all undergraduates (5,644), 2,225 students used grants or scholarships totaling $9.2 million, and 509 students took out $2.2 million in federal student loans.
