Dr. Neal Dunn, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 2nd district since 2017, recently expressed his views on several pressing issues through social media posts. Dunn, who succeeded Gwen Graham in Congress and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives, addressed topics ranging from constitutional rights to national security and public health.
On June 3, 2025, Dr. Neal Dunn shared his discontent regarding the Supreme Court’s decision not to review Maryland’s ban on AR-15s. He stated: “I’m extremely disappointed that the Supreme Court has declined to review Maryland’s unconstitutional ban on AR-15s! This is a flagrant violation of our Second Amendment rights! No state has the authority to take away your rights as written in the Constitution. This is a failure”.
The following day, June 4, 2025, Dr. Dunn raised concerns about threats posed by foreign entities to American agriculture. He remarked: “Chinese nationals linked to the Communist Party are attempting biological warfare against the U.S. This attempt to devastate American agriculture is totally unacceptable! I am grateful to law enforcement for stopping these terrorists and @AGPamBondi for promising to put them”.
Later that day, Dr. Dunn highlighted legislative efforts addressing substance addiction issues within the United States. He emphasized: “The SUPPORT Act is critical to getting services to those struggling with addiction to substances like opioids and fentanyl. Today, I spoke on the House floor to emphasize the importance of passing this important legislation.”
Dr. Neal Dunn was born in Boston in 1953 and currently resides in Panama City. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Washington and Lee University.
