On June 5, 2025, Dr. Dunn announced the introduction of a bill aimed at preventing FEMA from reclaiming federal aid allocated for disaster recovery from Florida communities. He emphasized that communities affected by natural disasters should not worry about government officials retrieving funds years after they have been utilized for recovery efforts.
Later that day, Dr. Dunn shared his support for the “Save SBA from Sanctuary Cities Act,” which he voted for as part of the House Republicans’ agenda. He stated that this act is designed to hold sanctuary cities accountable and prioritize American families, asserting that the House GOP will continue opposing policies from the left.

Neal Dunn was born in Boston in 1953 and resides in Panama City. A graduate of Washington and Lee University with a Bachelor of Science degree, he replaced Gwen Graham in Congress after serving in the Florida House of Representatives.
