On December 9, 2024, Dr. Dunn emphasized the importance of the Pensacola and Perdido Bays Estuary Program for North Florida’s environment and economy. He expressed pride in collaborating with Senators Rubio and Scott to pass legislation aimed at providing essential resources for the protection and restoration of these estuaries. “The Pensacola and Perdido Bays Estuary Program is vital to North Florida’s environment and economy. I’m proud to have worked with Senators Rubio and Scott to pass legislation that will provide critical resources to protect and restore these treasured estuaries.”

Later that day, Dr. Dunn announced the passage of his FEMA Loan Interest Payment Relief Act by the House of Representatives. This significant piece of legislation is designed to alleviate hurricane-related hardships faced by communities in North Florida.
