Dr. Neal Dunn, U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 2nd district since 2017, has recently addressed a range of issues on his social media account, including environmental stewardship in Florida, law enforcement victories against criminal organizations, and a recent shooting incident in Minneapolis.
On August 25, 2025, Dr. Dunn commented on the ongoing debate over beach access in Gulf County: “Floridians are responsible stewards of our natural resources and should be able to enjoy the beautiful coastline as they have for many years. I am working with @TeamEglin to reconsider its decision to restrict beach access in Gulf County.”
Two days later, on August 27, he acknowledged recent developments regarding criminal activity: “A major victory in the fight against cartels and international criminal organizations! https://t.co/woS7rDsSX9”
Later that same day, Dr. Dunn responded to an incident involving violence at a place of worship: “Please join me in praying for the church community and victims of the shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis.”
Dr. Dunn has represented Florida’s 2nd congressional district since succeeding Gwen Graham in 2017. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Florida House of Representatives and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Washington and Lee University. Born in Boston in 1953, Dr. Dunn currently resides in Panama City.
